Pre-school Music
Group Class, Beginners, Ages 3-4, 8 weeks = $80
Teacher: Tom Dowding
Designed specifically for pre-school children this 45 minute class introduces children to musical notes, timing and rhythm. Students will learn in small groups where they can make music together in a fun and open atmosphere. Parents are encouraged to stay and be involved in the lessons. This class is a great way to introduce your child to the world of music!
Introduction to Music
Group Class, Beginners, Ages 6-9, 8 weeks = $160
Teacher: Tom Dowding
Perfect for anyone who is interested in music, but isn’t sure where to start! Students will learn the basics of music in a fun, friendly group atmosphere.
This course provides a take home practice instrument allowing students to try out music without parents having to go to the expense of buying a new instrument. When at the lesson studio, students will be exposed to many popular instruments, including: bass, drums, piano, and guitar. The perfect course for any beginner!
Beginner Guitar Group , 60 mins
Group Class, Beginner, all ages, 8 weeks = $160
Teacher: Cam Twyford and Tom Dowding
This group class is offered to students who want to learn the basics of guitar in a fun group environment.
Beginner Drum Group , 60 mins
Group Class, Beginner, all ages, 8 weeks = $160
Teacher: Tom Dowding
The studio is equipped with two drum kits and several snare drums to teach students the basics of drumming, rhythm and technique.
Private Instruction, 30 mins
One-on-One, Intermediate, all ages, 8 weeks – $128
Teachers: Tom Dowding or Cam Twyford
We offer private instruction for vocals, drums, guitar, piano and bass. We encourage students to progress quickly in their private lessons so that they can be placed into a group with other students of the same age and ability to form a Rock Band.
Semi-Private Instruction, 30 mins
Two students with one teacher, Intermediate, all ages, 8 weeks – $88/each
Teachers: Tom Dowding or Cam Twyford
Teacher works with two students of similar ability on the same instrument. Semi-private instruction is available for vocals, drums, guitar, piano and bass.
Rock Band
Group, Intermediate-Advanced, all ages, 8 weeks – $160
Teacher: Tom Dowding
Rock Bands are created when 4-5 students are ready to play with others of the same ability. As a group, students progress quickly because they are learing to master their instrument while playing with others – helping to provide motivation and a lot of fun!! We typically look for these students within our exisiting enrollment but if you already have a group in mind, by all means, give us a call!

We believe that music lessons should be fun and encouraging. We try to stay away from difficult theory and teach students to play the music they like. Benefits of Group Lessons
At first group lessons may seem intimidating or unproductive, but quite the opposite is true. Regardless of age, a students musical ability and growth can benefit from a group-oriented approach. It has been proven to help students develop higher expectations, have increased motivation and musical independence. Group lessons are a great choice for people who have never taken music lessons before or want to fine tune their skills without enduring a long curriculum. Being part of a group is a great way to learn and it can save you money!
The Lesson Studio
The lesson studio is designed to be a fun place to learn music. Equipped with many popular instruments such as: drums, piano, guitar, and bass, students are exposed to the instruments that they want to play the most. We have created a space with a positive atmosphere that can
accommodate both group classes or private lessons. The lesson studio operates out of the home at 7020 Massett St, there is ample parking, a washroom, and a small sitting area.
